This policy applies to Don’t Fall, distributed on PC (Windows) by Steam.
In short
- The game creates no account of its own: it uses your Steam account, managed by Valve.
- No ads, no analytics, no in-app purchases.
- Your achievements and stats are stored by Steam on your account.
- In multiplayer, your Steam name, movements and chat messages are exchanged with the other players in the match.
- Pelagos receives no game data.
1. Data controller
Pelagos, SAS à associé unique with share capital of 500 €, RCS Paris 104 476 759, SIRET 104 476 759 00014, registered office: 36 rue Scheffer, 75016 Paris. Contact: contact@pelagos-lab.com.
Valve Corporation (Steam) processes the data of your Steam account and its services (achievements, stats, lobbies, network) as an independent controller, under its privacy policy.
2. Data stored on your computer
The game stores your saves (progress), settings (graphics, sound, controls, language) and the last connection settings typed (IP address and port of a local network game). This data stays on your computer; we have no access to it.
3. Steam achievements and stats
The game uses Steam achievements and stats: number of falls, documents read, secret places and easter eggs found, multiplayer modes played, character stories read, and unlocked achievements. This information is sent to Steam and linked to your account; its visibility depends on your Steam profile privacy settings.
4. Multiplayer
The game offers three ways to play together:
- online, through Steam: creating and searching Steam lobbies, connecting players through Steam’s network;
- on a local network: discovering games on the same network, or connecting directly by IP address and port;
- split screen, two players on the same computer (no network exchange).
Online and on a local network, the following is exchanged with the other players in the match: your Steam name and Steam ID (online), nickname, character, movements, and the messages you write in chat. On a local network, the computers’ IP addresses are needed to connect.
This data is only used to run the match. We do not receive or keep it. The chat is not moderated by the publisher: the host can kick a player, and control characters and invalid names are filtered automatically. Do not write personal data in chat. To report serious behaviour, use Steam’s tools and write to us at contact@pelagos-lab.com.
The game offers no voice chat.
5. Data you send us voluntarily
If you contact support: your e-mail address, message and attachments (specs, screenshots, log file). These e-mails are hosted by our e-mail provider (Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited), European Union and United States).
