This policy applies to My Fart Adventure in all its versions:
- Android (Google Play, ID
com.pelagosindustrie.myfartadventure): free, contains ads; - PC: Windows, distributed by Steam.
In short
- The game creates no account, offers no in-app purchases and uses no publisher analytics. Pelagos receives no game data.
- Android: the game is funded by Google AdMob ads (a banner on the main menu and a full-screen ad between two levels, never during play or in multiplayer). Google processes data to show these ads, based on your consent in the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
- Multiplayer: on a local network (same Wi-Fi), your nickname, actions and chat messages are exchanged directly with the other players in the match.
- Steam: no ads.
1. Data controller
Pelagos, SAS à associé unique with share capital of 500 €, RCS Paris 104 476 759, SIRET 104 476 759 00014, registered office: 36 rue Scheffer, 75016 Paris. Contact: contact@pelagos-lab.com.
For advertising, Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) acts as controller for the data it collects through its Google Mobile Ads SDK.
2. Data stored on your device
The game stores locally (app preferences): your settings (language, volumes, vibration…), your stats and ranks, progress, and your advertising consent choice. In multiplayer: the nickname you typed, the name of the last game and the last local IP address joined. This data stays on your device; we have no access to it.
3. Local network multiplayer
Multiplayer works only between devices on the same local network (same Wi-Fi), without a server, for up to 10 players. Exchanged directly between the devices in the match:
- your nickname (typed by you, up to 16 characters), character, actions and score;
- the messages you write in the match chat;
- the devices’ local IP addresses, and the game announcement (name, number of players) broadcast on the local network so it can be found;
- the game password, if the host set one.
These exchanges go neither through us nor through a third party, and travel unencrypted on the local network. The chat is not moderated by the publisher: the host can kick a player, and anyone can leave. Do not write personal data in your nickname or in chat.
4. Advertising (Android): Google AdMob
The Android version shows ads provided by Google AdMob: a banner on the main menu and a full-screen ad between two levels, never during play or in multiplayer. To show them, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the game sends Google, depending on your choices:
- your IP address and an approximate location derived from it;
- the device advertising ID (Android Advertising ID) and the App Set ID;
- information on interactions with ads (impressions, clicks);
- diagnostic data (performance, crashes of the ad SDK).
Depending on your consent, this data is used to show personalised or non-personalised ads, limit their repetition, measure their effectiveness and fight fraud. Google processes it under its own rules: how Google uses information from partner apps. Google may transfer this data outside the EU, with its own safeguards.
Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR and art. 82 of the French Data Protection Act) for access to your device and personalised advertising; for some purposes defined by the IAB TCF framework (security, fraud prevention, non-personalised ads), the legitimate interest of Google or its partners, which you can object to from the same choice screen.
5. Manage my consent
At first launch, in the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game shows Google’s consent form (IAB TCF v2.2 certified consent management platform). You can accept, refuse, or choose purpose by purpose. Refusing does not stop you from playing: non-personalised ads may be shown instead.
To change your choice at any time: in the game, open “Manage my ad choices”. The form is shown again.
You can also, in your Android phone settings, delete or reset the advertising ID (Settings › Google › Ads, depending on the Android version).
6. Permissions (Android)
Internet and network state (ads and local multiplayer), advertising ID (AD_ID, for AdMob), vibration (can be turned off). No precise location, contacts, camera or microphone.
7. Purposes, legal bases, retention
| Processing | Purpose | Legal basis | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local storage | Run the game, remember your choices | Contract (6.1.b) | Until erased or uninstalled |
| Local multiplayer and chat | Run the match | Contract (6.1.b) | Duration of the match |
| AdMob advertising | Fund the free game | Consent (6.1.a); legitimate interest for some purposes | Per Google |
| E-mail support | Answer your request | Legitimate interest (6.1.f) | 3 years after the last exchange |
Messages sent to support are hosted by our e-mail provider (Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited), European Union and United States).
8. Erase your data and exercise your rights
- Data on your device: uninstall the game, or clear the app’s data in Android settings.
- Advertising data: withdraw your consent (§ 5) and reset your advertising ID. Data already held by Google can be managed from your Google account.
- E-mails exchanged with us: write to contact@pelagos-lab.com.
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent. All steps are on the Account and data deletion page. You can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
9. Children
My Fart Adventure is not designed for children under 13.
10. Changes
Any change is published here as a new dated version. This version 2.0 replaces version 1.1 prepared for Google Play: it adds the local multiplayer chat, present in the game.
